By car from Chandigarh or Delhi
Take the Kalka–Shimla highway past Pinjore and Parwanoo. Turn off towards Kasauli at Dharampur, or take the Garkhal road for Kimughat. The hill section is two-lane and winding, so allow extra time after dark or in rain.
From Delhi, most people drive the NH44 to Ambala, cut across to Zirakpur, and join the same highway. Leave early on Friday or Saturday. The Parwanoo stretch gets slow as the day goes on.

By train
Kalka is the nearest broad-gauge station, with trains from Delhi. From Kalka, take a taxi up the hill (about an hour), or ride the Kalka–Shimla toy train, a UNESCO World Heritage line, to Dharampur and take a short taxi from there.
Toy-train timings change by season, so check the current Indian Railways timetable and book ahead for weekends.
By bus or air
HRTC and private buses run from Chandigarh and Kalka towards Kasauli and Dharampur. From the bus stand, take a local taxi for the last stretch.
Chandigarh International Airport is the most practical airport, about two hours away by taxi. Shimla airport is smaller, with fewer flights.
